Program Description: Creative Stages, Arts & Entertainment Workshops, is an educational facility specializing in hands-on Workshops and Classes in Film & Television, the Performing Arts and Audio & Music. The workshops are available for beginners to professionals with day, week and 1-year class schedules to suit a variety of student needs. All workshops are taught by working industry professionals. The Film & Television Workshops and Film & Television Apprenticeship Programs are structured around a working television studio and film & video production facility. Film and Television Apprenticeship Program:The Film & Television Apprentice will be given a key production role for the length of time they choose to participate in the program. Apprentices will be supervised and instructed by working industry professionals. Apprentices are given working credits on all productions and actively fulfill day-to-day duties associated with their position while actually working in the industry for a year - This is NOT just instructional classes. The Apprenticeship Program is the ultimate hands-on instructional program that results in real experience within a working broadcast television station and film & video production company. Apprentices will be immersed in the industry from the very first day.

Program Description: A senior thesis film written and directed by 2005 graduate Melissa Rossi -- and appropriately titled "Charm" -- endeared itself to the judges and took home an Oscar during the 32nd annual Student Academy Awards. A dozen students from 11 different colleges and universities, including FSU, were honored during the June 12 ceremony at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
With its bronze medal finish in the Narrative Category, "Charm" becomes only the second FSU undergraduate film ever to win a Student Academy Award, following a bronze in the Animation Category for "A Work In Progress" in 2003.
